MOUNTAIN BIKING: Badger Creek South Trail

← KS WALNUT RIVER WINFIELD KS Single Tracks →

Description

This trail takes you up along the edge of the open prairie of tall grass then into the woods . You will ride the hillside along Badger Creek . About 1/2 mile the trail splits . I like to take the trail to the right . This trail winds further up the hill . This part of the trail is mostly dirt , rocks , and roots with some nice technical challenges . Getting deeper into the woods this trail has some nice flat rock challenges and small creek crossings . Now getting to the half way point you will hit some short fast downhill leading to the tricky flat rock bluffs . On the back side of the trail you will ride down some rugged rocks and cross gnarly creek beds . Now heading back you will ride through the large boulders . Great landscape to ride . Getting near the trailhead to your right you will see the low water bridge . Great view from the trail . The trail doubles back to the trailhead . The Kansas Trail Council really did this trail right . Come test your skills .
